About Us

Colony Carvers began October 22nd, 2017. For his birthday, Bobby Ward got a new Stihl chainsaw and immediately carved a small bear, which he called his "Boblo Picasso" Bear. He knew his first attempt at chainsaw carving wouldn't be perfect, so he decided to make it oddly shaped on purpose. He was pleased with the results, and while he never intended to sell his first creation, he was glad to find an art enthusiast who cherished it enough to buy it and take it home. Bobby has not stopped carving since. His son, Jack Ward, recently has begun helping out.
